Product Information Medical use information, prescription product. Consult your doctor, indications and contraindications approved by the COFEPRIS registry.
The use in pregnancy and during lactation is at the discretion of the doctor.
Instructions for use:

2. Pick up the patch from the back.
3. Tear off a piece of silicone paper.
4. Place the adhesive portion of the patch on your forearm or chest.
5. Carefully remove the part of the silicone paper, press the patch firmly to prevent it from coming off.
Therapeutic indications:
Transdermal nitroglycerin is indicated for the prevention of angina pectoris due to coronary artery disease. The onset of action of transdermal nitroglycerin is not fast enough for this product to be useful in aborting an acute attack.
Contraindications:
Allergic reactions to organic nitrates are extremely rare, but they do occur. Nitroglycerin is contraindicated in patients who are allergic to it. Allergy to the adhesives used in nitroglycerin patches has also been described and is also a contraindication to the use of this product.
General precautions:
Severe hypotension, particularly with standing, may occur with even small doses of nitroglycerin. This drug, therefore, should be used with caution in patients who may be volume depleted or for whatever reason already hypotensive. Nitroglycerin-induced hypotension may be accompanied by paradoxical bradycardia and increased angina pectoris.
Nitrate therapy may aggravate angina caused by hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
In industrial workers who have had long-term exposure to unknown (presumably high) doses of organic nitrates, tolerance clearly occurs. Cases of chest pain, acute myocardial infarction and even sudden death have occurred during the temporary suspension of nitrates for these workers, demonstrating the existence of true physical dependence.
Several clinical trials in patients with angina pectoris have evaluated nitroglycerin regimens incorporating a 10- to 12-hour nitrate-free interval. In some of these trials, an increased frequency of anginal attacks was observed during the nitrate-free interval in a small number of patients.
Pediatric Use: Safety and effectiveness in pediatric patients have not been established.
Secondary and adverse reactions:
A defibrillator cardiovector should not be discharged through a paddle electrode that covers the patch. The arcing that may be seen in this situation is harmless in itself, but may be associated with a local current buildup that can cause damage to the paddles and burn the patient.
